Exporting to Suunto GPS devices Elite

How to export routes to Suunto GPS watches

Footpath can export a GPX route to any Suunto device that supports courses/navigation and can be paired via Bluetooth with the Suunto app on iOS and Android.

This includes:

  • Suunto 9, 5, and 3
  • Suunto 7 (wearOS) and newer
  • Suunto Spartan
  • Suunto Traverse
  • Suunto Ambit3 and newer
  • Suunto Race
  • Suunto Vertical
  • Suunto Ocean

Not supported:

  • Suunto 3 Fitness
  • Suunto Core

Export the route to the Suunto app

From Footpath for iOS:

  1. Tap the “Share” button in the upper right
  2. Select “Export…”
  3. Select “GPX Route”
  4. iOS: Find the “Copy to Suunto” icon in the list of apps. You may need to swipe to the right and tap “More”
  5. Android: Select “Open with…” and select Suunto.
  6. The Suunto app will load your route. Save your route to Suunto.
